The Northwest Indiana Auto Trade Association will be having their Fall Sale this year on November 28th, 29th and December 1st with proceeds going to CAMP (Caring About Military Personnel). Each dealership that participates will donate $25 from each new and used car sold during those days to help with the expense of shipping monthly boxes to our soldiers in combat. Thenk you to S & S Automotive and The Times for their monetary donations.
Camp is a wonderful organization and 100% of the money raised goes to our soldiers. To see more about their mission visit www.campboxes.org.

Every year the Northwest Indiana Auto Trade Association awards three $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors who are furthering their education in the automotive field of study. The $2,000 is paid out in four consecutive payments of $500 per semester and must be paid to the same school. You also must be in good standing academically at the school to continue with each payment. To be eligible for the 2009 scholarship you must be a 2009 senior at a high school in Lake County, Porter County or LaPorte County; and you must begin school 3 months after graduating from high school.
To date the NIATA has awarded 33 scholarships. It is their way of helping the youth in their communities have a chance to further their education and hopefully come back to this area and work at a local dealership. The money for these scholarships is raised every year through an annual Golf Outing held at various courses. Money is donated by our associate members and through our dealer's vendors. This year's outing was held at Innsbrook Country Club in Merrillville. Our major sponsors were Fifth Third Bank, Ethos Group, Ford & Harrison, Harris Bank, Lamar Advertising, Quality Oil, and The Times Media Company. We appreciate all of our sponsors and all of our golfers.
